Are you the kind of engineer who gets excited about transforming fragmented data into powerful business insights? Do you enjoy building scalable pipelines, optimizing large datasets, and creating solutions that become the foundation for enterprise analytics?

A rapidly growing industry leader is seeking a Software & Data Engineer to help modernize and expand its cloud data ecosystem. This is an opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives that directly influence business operations, analytics, reporting, and digital transformation efforts across the organization.

If you thrive at the intersection of software engineering and data engineering, this role offers the chance to make a visible impact while working with modern technologies including Databricks, Azure, Python, SQL, Spark, Power BI, and .NET.

What You'll Do

As a key member of the technology team, you will help design and develop the systems that turn complex business data into trusted, actionable information.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, building, and supporting scalable Databricks-based data pipelines

  • Developing new ETL and ELT processes while enhancing and troubleshooting existing data workflows

  • Creating reliable data integrations using Python, SQL, Spark, and Azure technologies

  • Helping establish a consistent, enterprise-wide single source of truth for critical business data

  • Supporting analytics initiatives that empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions

  • Building and optimizing backend APIs and services when application development is needed to support data processes

  • Collaborating with analysts, business teams, and data owners to translate requirements into scalable solutions

  • Participating in code reviews, testing, deployment, documentation, and CI/CD processes

  • Modernizing legacy reporting and data warehouse solutions to align with cloud-first architecture

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a hands-on engineer who combines strong technical expertise with a passion for solving business problems through data.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or related disciplines

  • Strong proficiency with Python and SQL

  • Experience designing and supporting ETL or ELT pipelines

  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, Snowflake, or similar large-scale data processing platforms

  • Experience working with SQL Server or comparable relational databases

  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure

  • Familiarity with Power BI or other enterprise reporting platforms

  • Experience using Git, Azure DevOps, and modern CI/CD practices

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical and business teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, or Entity Framework

  • Exposure to ERP data integrations and enterprise business systems

  • Experience supporting large-scale operational or industrial businesses

  • Knowledge of SAP data structures and integration methodologies

Why Join Us?

This is more than a traditional data engineering role. You'll join an organization investing heavily in technology, cloud infrastructure, analytics, and operational excellence. Your work will directly influence how business leaders access and use information to drive growth and performance.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Work with modern cloud and data technologies

  • Own projects from design through deployment

  • Help shape the future-state data architecture

  • Collaborate with experienced technical and business professionals

  • Build solutions that have immediate and measurable business impact

  • Gain exposure to both software engineering and enterprise data platforms
