Description
Investigate, report, coordinate, and resolve maintenance and repair activities related to the building facilities, grounds, and office furniture equipment. Monitors Facility email inbox and investigates facility issues reported by staff. Responsible for setting up furniture for various conference rooms, moving office furniture, cleaning offices, replenishes paper for all office copiers, collects documents for destruction, receives incoming shipments, prepares equipment to be sent for auction or discarding. Will assist in organizing and maintain Division’s warehouse space and will transport material to and from office location to the warehouse. Will be responsible to assist with clearing and treating parking lots and sidewalks from ice and snow and other debris. Dependable Independent Proactive Mechanically inclined Able to perform physical labor
Requirements
Physical job requirements: • Stand: Must be able to stand constantly up to eight (8) hours per day. • Sit: Minimal sitting at a desk and computer involved in this job. Less than one hour per day. • Lift: Must be able to constantly lift over 50 pounds from the ground and stock shelves with boxes weighing the same or more on a frequent basis. Must be able to lift in excess of 100 pounds, when necessary. • Push: Must be able to push large carts of equipment and boxes weighing over 100 pounds throughout a large office setting. • Bending: Must be able to frequently bend at the waist and knees constantly throughout an eight (8) hour workday. • Kneeling: Frequent kneeling lift heavy boxes and equipment and ability to view and troubleshoot issues that are in areas that are low to the ground, etc. throughout an eight (8)- hour workday. • Crouching: Occasional. • Temperature: Office buildings are normal room temperature. Candidate must be able to handle hot and extreme cold temperatures occasionally, when outside performing duties or inside when HVAC unit is non-operational. •

Two large office buildings totally over 66,000 square feet, both single-story. Majority of office space is filled with cubicles. There are limited number of walled offices on perimeter of buildings. The employee will be required to be on their feet 6-8 hours per day and carry 50-100 pounds frequently throughout the day. Employee will be working with contractors who perform maintenance and service for buildings and will need to be able to effectively communicate in real-time with those individuals to ensure safety of themselves, the contractors, and on-site staff and relay reason for the services to the contractor.
