Position: Controller
Location: Tulsa Area
Salary: $110k-$140k/year (Based on experience)
The Controller role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management and reporting, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, internal controls, and support for budgeting, forecasting, and project/cost accounting.
Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and oversee all financial accounting activities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain internal controls
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to provide actionable insights to leadership
- Manage cash flow
- Coordinate with external auditors
- Optimize financial processes
- Collaborate with operational teams to support project and cost accounting
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in financial accounting, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and variance reporting to support strategic decision-making
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, compliance, and audit procedures, including coordination with external auditors
- Background in cost accounting, project accounting, or manufacturing/engineered-to-order environments is highly beneficial
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, along with strong Excel and data analysis skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred
- Ability to work on-site, collaborate cross-functionally, manage deadlines, and communicate complex financial information clearly
- Prior experience in the energy, oil and gas, or industrial engineering sectors is a plus
