Position: Accounting Manager

Fuse3 Solutions is partnered with an incredible organization searching for an Accounting Manager to join their team. The Accounting Manager will manage general accounting functions, including financial reporting, account classification, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct financial accounting and account classification functions; supervise employees engaged in these activities
• Analyze accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance and the integrity of financial statements and reports
• Monitor and maintain accounting and financial reporting systems; research, evaluate, and propose system changes or new system development to strengthen accounting controls
• Provide guidance to management, employees, regulatory agencies, auditors, and other stakeholders on the classification and accounting treatment of taxes, revenues, earnings, expenses, policies, and procedures
• Compile, prepare, verify, and/or approve financial information and reports, including:
  • Policies and procedures
  • Earnings
  • Revenues
  • Investments
  • Taxes
  • Budgets

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with treasury and/or general accounting experience
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and company accounting methods, practices, and procedures
• Proficiency with office equipment and applicable accounting/financial software
• Background in financial accounting, financial reporting, account classification, and supervisory/management practices
• Experience monitoring and analyzing financial data, reports, audits, and regulatory publications
• Experience researching, preparing, and composing reports, guidelines, financial analyses, presentations, and correspondence
• Experience interpreting company policies, FASB pronouncements, governmental regulations, rate case orders, contracts, and financial statements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including advising and interacting across teams
• Experience supervising, directing, and training staff; working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures
• Experience developing materials and delivering group presentations
• Ability to apply algebra, statistics, and economic theory to accounting work
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including conducting presentations and meetings
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
