Position: Accounts Receivable Specialist

This role manages the full cycle accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliations. The AR Specialist partners with internal teams and external customers to resolve billing discrepancies while supporting cash flow objectives. This is an on-site position. 

Responsibilities:

• Process and issue accurate customer invoices
• Post customer payments (checks, ACH, credit card, wire transfers)
• Monitor AR aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts
• Support credit evaluations and terms in partnership with the Credit Manager
• Assist with month-end close and AR account reconciliations
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short pays, and unapplied cash
• Maintain accurate customer account records
• Prepare AR reports and updates on collections and risk exposure
• Partner with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service on billing issues
• Support process improvements and audit requests
• Assist with special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Prior internship, co-op, or office/accounting experience preferred, not required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
• Ability to learn new systems quickly
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and grow
• Strong customer service orientation with ability to handle confidential information
