Cloud Engineer 

Location: Oklahoma City, OK (Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week)
Employment Type: 12-Month Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: Approximately $60-$65/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to support and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and applications in a Microsoft-centric environment. This individual contributor role will be responsible for deploying and managing workloads within Microsoft Azure, supporting Kubernetes environments, troubleshooting cloud-related issues, and assisting with escalated support requests across various Microsoft technologies.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, Kubernetes administration, CI/CD pipelines, and Microsoft enterprise technologies. This position requires someone who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, manage, and maintain applications running in Kubernetes environments within Microsoft Azure.
  • Configure and support Azure networking components, including connectivity, security, and infrastructure services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Azure-related issues involving compute, networking, storage, and application services.
  • Support multiple environments and projects while ensuring reliability, performance, and security.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Enterprise and related automation tools.
  • Assist with escalated technical support issues involving Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365 and Intune.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement cloud best practices and operational standards.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Approximately 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, systems engineering, or infrastructure support.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure administration and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and supporting Kubernetes environments.
  • Experience configuring and managing Azure networking services.
  • Working knowledge of GitHub Enterprise and CI/CD pipeline development.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Intune environments.
  • Understanding of cloud security, identity management, and infrastructure best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep).
  • Familiarity with Azure monitoring and logging tools.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus.
