Position: PC Support Technician II (Contract)
Fuse3 Solutions is seeking a PC Support Technician II for a 3-month contract assignment with the potential for extension based on business needs and performance. This role is responsible for providing technical support for PC hardware, software, mobile devices, and related systems across a multi-site environment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service abilities, and experience supporting enterprise-level IT environments.
This position works closely with IT leadership, infrastructure teams, end users, and third-party vendors to ensure systems and devices operate efficiently and reliably. Some travel, after-hours support, and occasional extended hours may be required.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support, training, and guidance to end users regarding hardware, software, and system-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve PC hardware, operating system, application, and peripheral issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Create, update, and manage support tickets within the organization’s ticket tracking system.
- Install, configure, and support desktop hardware and peripherals including monitors, printers, keyboards, and other devices.
- Deploy and maintain operating systems, endpoint protection tools, Microsoft Office applications, and additional third-party software.
- Diagnose and resolve system, software, and connectivity issues for end users.
- Assist network, telecom, and server teams with technical support needs as required.
- Communicate status updates, issue resolution, and project progress to users and management through email, ticketing systems, and direct communication.
- Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and system support activities to ensure optimal performance and security.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on IT support experience in a desktop or help desk environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and working knowledge of Windows Server environments.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of:
- Active Directory
- DHCP/DNS
- VMware
- SCCM and WSUS
- IP networking concepts
- Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM), SaaS platforms, and cloud-based technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information
- Contract length: 3 months with potential for extension
- Some day and overnight travel may be required
- Occasional after-hours and weekend support may be needed
- Position may require lifting, standing, walking, and other physical activity associated with hardware setup and support
- This role may be designated as safety-sensitive depending on work environment requirements
Pay for the PC Support Tech II is $22-25/hour based on experience.
