Receptionist / Administrative Assistant

Position Summary - $16/hour

We are seeking a professional and dependable Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for visitors, customers, vendors, and job applicants. This individual will provide front office support by greeting guests, managing incoming calls, and assisting with general administrative functions to ensure smooth daily operations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while following established procedures and guidelines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors, customers, vendors, and applicants in a professional and courteous manner
  • Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls appropriately
  • Operate a multi-line phone system or switchboard
  • Coordinate transportation or other visitor accommodations as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to internal departments
  • Assist with scheduling, filing, data entry, and other office-related tasks
  • Respond to inquiries and direct individuals to the appropriate personnel
  • Follow company procedures and established guidelines while maintaining confidentiality

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1–2 years of administrative, receptionist, customer service, or related experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general office equipment
  • Professional demeanor with strong customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment and requires regular interaction with employees, customers, and visitors. The role typically works under direct supervision and follows established processes and procedures.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum: 1–2 years of related experience
  • Preferred: Prior experience in a receptionist, administrative support, or customer-facing role
