Job Summary
The Application Analyst is responsible for the design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of assigned applications. This role partners closely with clinical, operational, and technical teams to optimize workflows, implement system enhancements, and provide high-quality application support across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain deep knowledge of functional workflows and supporting application functionality
Participate in future-state workflow analysis and complete system configuration to support optimized processes
Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to design, implement, and enhance application solutions
Identify system optimization opportunities and partner with vendors, IT, project teams, and end users to deliver improvements
Research and analyze complex issues, providing effective solutions and alternative options when system limitations exist
Provide Tier 2 support for application incidents escalated from the Help Desk
Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical and end-user documentation
Implement system changes using established change management processes and departmental policies
Deliver a high level of customer service while promoting the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Values
Decision Making & Working Relationships
Exercises independent judgment in resolving complex problems, subject to general review
Leads and coordinates activities of others without direct supervisory responsibility
Works closely with internal and external customers, patients, clinical staff, and leadership, including frequent interaction with Director-level stakeholders
Travel Requirements
Ability to travel for Epic training and certification
Occasional travel to remote work sites as needed
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 1 year of related application, IT, or healthcare systems experience
Ability to obtain and maintain Epic certification in assigned application module(s)
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments
Education & Certification
High school diploma or GED required
Epic certification in assigned module(s) required (must obtain and maintain)
