Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies

• Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation and responding to inquiries

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies and procedures

• Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis

• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management to support decision-making

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency

• Assist with implementation of new accounting standards, systems, or process improvements

• Provide guidance and mentorship to staff accountants or junior team members

• Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

• 3–6+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements

• Experience with general ledger systems and ERP platforms

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
