The Opportunity
We are hiring an AWS-focused Cloud Engineer to design, secure, and operate a modern multi-account cloud environment. This role blends hands-on engineering with cloud architecture, security, and automation. You will help shape AWS standards, implement guardrails, and build scalable, reliable services that support critical business systems.
What You’ll Do
Design and maintain AWS multi-account architecture using AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and Landing Zones.
Implement cloud security best practices including CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, SCPs, and RCPs.
Build and enforce IAM strategies using least-privilege access, IAM roles and policies, SSO integrations, IAM Identity Center, and IAM Access Analyzer.
Engineer and support AWS services including S3, Glacier, API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, Amazon Connect, VPC, and KMS.
Automate infrastructure and governance using Infrastructure as Code with CloudFormation and scripting.
Perform architectural assessments of cloud and legacy systems to ensure performance, scalability, and security compliance.
Develop cloud roadmaps, standards, and documentation aligned with enterprise architecture and business needs.
Partner with engineering, security, and business teams to evaluate new technologies and improve cloud capabilities.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and analysts.
Required Experience
Strong hands-on AWS experience across security, IAM, networking, and core services.
Proven experience designing and operating multi-account AWS environments.
Proficiency with CloudFormation and automation scripting using Python or PowerShell.
Solid understanding of VPC networking, encryption and KMS, monitoring, and logging.
Experience translating requirements into secure, automated cloud solutions.
Nice to Have
Experience evaluating vendors and cloud tooling for cost optimization and efficiency.
Prior ownership of cloud standards, guardrails, or enterprise AWS governance.
