Position: Accounting Manager

Fuse3 Solutions is partnered with a well known organization to help find an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing financial accounting functions and supervising the day-to-day activities of the accounting team. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and effective management of key areas including cash management, accounts payable, fixed assets, general ledger, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including preparation and review of journal entries, check requests, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure timely resolution of discrepancies and evaluate internal controls and process effectiveness
• Review monthly financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness across multiple entities
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for operational improvements
• Participate in the budgeting process and support financial planning activities
• Coordinate system interfaces with the general ledger to ensure accurate posting and reporting
• Assist with annual audit preparation, including workpapers and auditor support, with a goal of minimal audit adjustments
• Prepare tax filings and supporting documentation, including franchise and personal property reports
• Supervise, train, and evaluate accounting staff while managing daily workflow and team priorities
• Maintain and improve accounting systems, procedures, and internal controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and respond to inquiries
• Support leadership with financial reporting, analysis, and special projects
• Assist in preparing and managing the annual capital budget and related fixed asset accounting
• Perform financial analysis and generate reports to support business decisions
• Coordinate annual fixed asset inventory processes
• Support development and implementation of new financial initiatives
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of month-end and year-end close processes
• Exercise independent judgment in decision-making, with final review at leadership levels

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare accounting preferred
• Proven supervisory experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and other relevant accounting software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Adaptability and professionalism in a dynamic work environment
• Experience working within complex financial systems
