IT Project Manager

Hybrid in Oklahoma City
6 month contract
$45 to $50 per hour based on experience

This role is for an IT Project Manager who wants to be embedded with the team and close to the work. This is not a high level, hands-off role. The environment moves fast, priorities change, and the team needs someone who is comfortable bringing structure to a little bit of chaos.

There is a strong focus on ERP and core enterprise systems, and candidates with manufacturing or oil and gas experience will stand out.

What you will be doing

• Manage multiple IT and business initiatives at the same time

• Own project plans, timelines, dependencies, risks, and follow-ups

• Work closely with IT teams, business leaders, and vendors to keep work moving

• Help turn loosely defined ideas into executable plans

• Actively unblock teams by facilitating decisions and escalating issues when needed

• Provide clear, practical status updates without overcomplicating the process

What they are looking for

• 5+ years of experience managing IT or business transformation projects

• Hands-on project management style, comfortable working in the details

• Strong ERP project experience

• Ability to operate well in ambiguity and shifting priorities

• Clear communicator and collaborative team player

• Comfortable working in environments that are not always perfectly organized

Nice to have

• Manufacturing, industrial, or oil and gas background

• Experience with ERP, finance, supply chain, infrastructure, or data initiatives

• Experience working with vendors or system integrators

• PMP or similar certification

This is a solid contract role for someone who wants to be part of the team, make an impact quickly, and help bring order without slowing things down.
