Manufacturing Controller

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for the manufacturing site, including general ledger, inventory, and cost accounting functions.

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP.

• Develop and maintain standard cost models and ensure accuracy of product costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.

• Analyze manufacturing performance, including labor and overhead utilization, yield variances, and production efficiency.

• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational performance.

• Lead the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for manufacturing operations.

• Support capital expenditure planning and ROI analysis for manufacturing investments.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and external audit requirements.

• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and financial reporting systems.

• Supervise and develop a team of accountants and financial analysts, promoting a culture of accountability and performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.

• 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory control, and standard costing.

• Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work cross-functionally.
