Job Title: IT Support Specialist - Contract to Hire

Position Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on IT Support Specialist with experience in equipment ordering, hardware testing, and application support. This role plays a key part in ensuring our technical operations run smoothly, especially across field offices and remote sites. Candidates with a background in the oil and gas industry will be highly preferred due to the nature of our field equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Order and manage IT hardware and equipment for field and office teams (laptops, network gear, peripherals, etc.)
Perform hardware setup, configuration, and testing to ensure reliability before deployment.
Provide Tier 1 & 2 application support, including troubleshooting and resolving issues across business-critical software.
Maintain inventory and coordinate with vendors for timely procurement and delivery.
Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to understand equipment needs and provide appropriate technical solutions.
Qualifications:
2+ years of IT support or desktop support experience.
Strong understanding of hardware procurement and setup processes.
Experience supporting enterprise and field applications.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in oil and gas, field operations, or energy sector IT.
Familiarity with industry-specific software and remote field hardware.
