Summary/Objectives:

The Accounting Generalist is responsible for providing cross-functional support across accounting, finance, operations, and administrative areas, depending on current business needs. This role may assist with tasks in accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, pricing, and data management. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as responsibilities may shift based on internal priorities or organizational changes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintain and update pricing structures and support new item setup
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving accounts payable issues, including invoice discrepancies and purchasing documentation
  • Support the accounts receivable process, including customer outreach and payment tracking
  • Collaborate with inventory teams to reconcile data and investigate inventory variances
  • Participate in financial system transitions, data cleanup, and process documentation
  • Provide general accounting support across departments and locations
  • Assist with audit preparation and data analysis
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date item records in financial or ERP systems
  • Take on ad hoc accounting or administrative projects as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of all company and financial data
  • Demonstrate consistent attendance and reliability in daily responsibilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; general ERP knowledge preferred

Education and Experience Requirements:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting or related experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general business software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Experience in a manufacturing, production, or operations environment
  • Prior use of ERP/accounting systems

Compensation Range: $40,000 – $45,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
