Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures.
Analyze manufacturing costs, prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs, and identify areas of variance.
Perform cost analysis for raw materials, labor, and overhead; evaluate cost drivers and trends.
Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations related to inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS).
Support inventory valuation, cycle counts, and annual physical inventory.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations on cost trends and margin analysis for management.
Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and procurement to ensure cost efficiency and accuracy.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting related to production costs and inventory.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and GAAP.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of cost accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
