Essential Functions:
- Analyze title opinions, deeds, leases, and other legal documents to determine mineral and leasehold ownership.
- Prepare and issue division orders to interest owners based on validated title and revenue information.
- Maintain and update ownership decks and division order records in the land or revenue system.
- Collaborate with landmen, attorneys, and title specialists to resolve ownership discrepancies.
- Communicate with royalty owners to address inquiries, changes in ownership, and payment concerns.
- Monitor and manage suspense accounts, ensuring timely resolution of ownership issues.
- Support internal departments with ownership data for lease administration, revenue distribution, and regulatory filings.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Business, Legal Studies, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in oil and gas land, division order, or revenue accounting roles.
- Strong understanding of oil and gas title, legal conveyances, and revenue processes.
- Proficiency in land management or revenue systems (e.g., Quorum, Enertia, P2).
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- 5 – 10 years in Land or Land Administration
