Essential Functions:
Analyze title opinions, deeds, leases, and other legal documents to determine mineral and leasehold ownership.
Prepare and issue division orders to interest owners based on validated title and revenue information.
Maintain and update ownership decks and division order records in the land or revenue system.
Collaborate with landmen, attorneys, and title specialists to resolve ownership discrepancies.
Communicate with royalty owners to address inquiries, changes in ownership, and payment concerns.
Monitor and manage suspense accounts, ensuring timely resolution of ownership issues.
Support internal departments with ownership data for lease administration, revenue distribution, and regulatory filings.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies.
Requirements: Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Business, Legal Studies, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in oil and gas land, division order, or revenue accounting roles.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of oil and gas title, legal conveyances, and revenue processes.
Proficiency in land management or revenue systems (e.g., Quorum, Enertia, P2).
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience:
5 – 10 years in Land or Land Administration
Salary for this position ranges from $70k-$80k/year based on experience.
