Our client is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join their growing team. This is a potentially hybrid position offering the flexibility to work remotely while contributing in-office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting combined with experience in the insurance industry, and must hold an active CPA license.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all aspects of federal, state, and local tax compliance
Lead tax planning and strategy initiatives with a focus on insurance-related tax considerations
Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely filings
Maintain current knowledge of tax laws and regulations affecting both public accounting and the insurance industry
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior tax staff and contribute to process improvements
Analyze the tax implications of business transactions and recommend strategies for optimization
Support quarterly and annual tax provision processes in accordance with ASC 740
Qualifications:
Active CPA license (REQUIRED)
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
6+ years of progressive tax experience, with a blend of public accounting and insurance industry background
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, particularly those relevant to the insurance sector
Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
Experience with tax provision software and general accounting systems
