Network Engineer

 

Key Responsibilities of a Network Engineer:

• Gather client network specifications and collaborate with sales and technical teams to design tailored solutions.
• Develop system documentation, including network diagrams, rack elevations, and equipment specifications.
• Determine software licensing needs and system requirements, such as bandwidth, storage, and heat load.
• Coordinate with operations and IT teams to plan and execute network and server deployments.
• Attend client kickoff meetings to assess infrastructure feasibility, connectivity, and architecture.
• Document and manage all technical requirements for installation and project closeout.

Qualifications of a Network Engineer:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, with 5+ years of experience in network and system design.
• Relevant IT and networking certifications (as required by leadership).
• Expertise in designing and deploying wired, wireless, and fiber network solutions.
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as Bluebeam and Visio.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel occasionally for project assessments.

 
Salary Range of Network Engineer: $90,000 - 120,000 depending on experience
