Senior Database Administrator

Fues3 Solutions has partnered with a local, well-known company that is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to design, develop, and maintain database systems while ensuring data integrity, security, and optimal performance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and overseeing database architecture, managing ETL processes, and supporting enterprise-level business applications. This role requires strong SQL Server expertise, experience with data warehousing, and a deep understanding of database best practices.


This position is hybrid in Oklahoma City for local candidates.

Responsibilities of Senior Database Administrator:
  • Design, implement, and maintain database structures to support business applications and reporting.

  • Develop and optimize ETL processes using T-SQL and SSIS to manage data flow across systems.

  • Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.

  • Ensure data security, integrity, and availability by enforcing policies and best practices.

  • Conduct capacity planning and monitor storage utilization to prevent performance bottlenecks.

  • Automate database maintenance tasks, including indexing, reorganization, and cleanup.

  • Provide technical support to users, address database-related issues, and work with vendors as needed.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including ERDs, process flows, and data dictionaries.

  • Collaborate with development and business teams to design and optimize data solutions.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging database technologies to recommend improvements.

Qualifications of Senior Database Administrator:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in database administration, design, and development using MS SQL Server.

  • Proficiency in T-SQL programming and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL development.

  • Experience managing and maintaining a SQL Server-based data warehouse.

  • Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server 2016 or newer in both production and development environments.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize database performance.

  • Excellent project management and time management skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train and support users.


 
Salary of Senior Database Administrator: $90,000 - 115,000 depending on experience
