Compensation & Rewards Consultant

We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Compensation & Rewards Consultant to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing and managing the company’s compensation and total rewards strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, market trends, and industry standards. This role involves providing insightful, data-driven recommendations to optimize compensation structures, improve employee satisfaction, and support the company's competitive position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research & Benchmarking:
    Conduct regular market research to evaluate compensation structures and ensure competitiveness in attracting and retaining top talent. Benchmark internal compensation data against industry trends to maintain fairness and equity across job functions.

  • Data Analysis & Insights:
    Analyze pay data, salary structures, and incentive programs, providing actionable recommendations for adjustments. Use insights to support compensation decisions and enhance the overall compensation strategy.

  • Total Rewards Program Management:
    Design, manage, and refine comprehensive compensation programs including salary, bonuses, benefits, and non-monetary rewards. Work closely with HR teams to ensure reward programs align with business objectives and employee needs.

  • Reporting & Compliance:
    Collect and analyze compensation data, preparing detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership. Ensure compensation programs comply with laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, ADA, Equal Pay Act). Support internal/external audits and reviews.

  • Employee & Manager Support:
    Collaborate with HR teams to clearly communicate compensation and benefits offerings to employees. Educate and guide managers on pay-for-performance strategies, budgeting, and retention best practices.

  • Process Improvement:
    Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing new tools or technologies to streamline the compensation and reward function.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CCP, GRP) a plus. 6-8 years of experience in compensation or total rewards, ideally in a corporate environment.

  • Skills & Expertise:
    Strong knowledge of compensation structures, incentive programs, and market benchmarking. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, HRIS systems, compensation management software). Familiarity with compensation laws and best practices.

  • Communication & Collaboration:
    Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively across functions and levels within the organization.

  • Analytical & Detail-Oriented:
    Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, data-driven approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with compensation survey platforms 
  • Knowledge of benefits administration and employee engagement strategies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
