Key Responsibilities:
- Support the estimating team during the bidding process and facilitate smooth transitions on awarded projects
- Set up projects in alignment with accurate accounting protocols
- Build and maintain effective client relationships
- Develop and manage project schedules that meet contractual commitments
- Review subcontractor bids for completeness, negotiate favorable terms, and finalize contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
- Issue purchase orders for all necessary materials
- Monitor and manage project budgets diligently
- Prepare initial project documentation for Superintendent review
- Lead pre-construction meetings with relevant stakeholders
- Conduct regular on-site meetings throughout the construction phase
- Collaborate with the Superintendent to implement site-specific procedures, making adjustments to ensure timely project completion
- Enforce job-specific safety protocols and maintain compliance with all safety standards
- Handle required documentation efficiently for both internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure both company and client objectives are being met
- Oversee project close-out documentation per accounting guidelines
- Prepare timely draw requests and invoicing with required supporting documents
- Travel as necessary to support successful project completion
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of organization and problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and related documents
- Collaborative, team-oriented attitude
- Skilled in making timely, accurate decisions under pressure
- Ability to coordinate across departments effectively
- Knowledgeable in current industry standards to maintain a competitive advantage
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems, Bluebeam, and Procore software
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar construction role
