Position: Sales Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Conduct hands-on tours and demonstrations of the lab/Experience Center, showcasing technology, process capability, and value to end users, distributors, investors, and other visitors
- Lead technical portions of Experience Center visits, explaining equipment function and value
- Deliver on-site and virtual product demonstrations tailored to commercial, technical, and executive audiences
- Coordinate with R&D to keep demo/test equipment calibrated and ready
- Support hands-on training for distributors, internal sales, and other stakeholders on film performance, equipment interaction, containment principles, and technical selling
- Help build and improve training content and demonstration materials
- Perform end-to-end customer load and containment testing (scheduling, execution, troubleshooting, reporting), operating independently
- Conduct/coordinate testing aligned to ISTA and EUMOS 40509 standards
- Diagnose load failures, recommend corrective actions, and re-test for certification
- Advise customers on factors affecting load integrity during transport
- Prepare professional test reports and manage a customer testing backlog
- Use testing as a value-selling tool to support customer decision-making
- Partner with National Accounts to manage containment-analysis testing workflow
- Travel to customer/national account sites (25-50%) for field testing, troubleshooting, and demos
- Review competitive film offerings and recommend the best product for each sale
- Manage technical customer requests, including questionnaires routed through Marketing
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, National Accounts, Marketing, Quality, and R&D
Qualifications:
- Ability to conduct and interpret lab/field testing for product and load performance evaluations
- Ability to analyze engineering concepts and sales performance metrics
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and training skills across audiences
- Customer-facing orientation with solid negotiation and closing skills
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as needed
- Self-motivated, organized, and team-oriented
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field; Packaging or Plastics Engineering preferred
Pay for the Sales Engineer is up to $100k/year based on experience.
