Position: Controller

The Controller provides strategic leadership and oversight of the organization's accounting function. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, managing day-to-day accounting operations, strengthening internal controls, and supporting executive leadership with financial analysis and recommendations. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong technical accounting expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the accounting team while overseeing daily accounting operations
Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger and financial reporting
Manage the month-end and year-end close processes
Oversee account reconciliations and maintain the integrity of financial records
Monitor fixed assets and other key accounting functions
Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls
Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Progressive accounting leadership experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
Proven ability to improve processes and implement operational efficiencies
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment
Experience presenting financial information to executive leadership and stakeholders

Salary range for the Controller is $90k-$120k+/year based on experience.
