Payroll Reporting & Timekeeping Coordinator

Position Summary
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Reporting & Timekeeping Coordinator to support payroll operations and electronic timekeeping processes. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate workforce data, reviewing time records, preparing reports, and serving as a resource for employees and supervisors regarding timekeeping questions and system support. While this role works closely with the payroll team, payroll processing responsibilities are limited.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate, review, and maintain payroll and workforce reports

  • Audit employee time records for accuracy and completeness

  • Monitor timecard exceptions, missed punches, and pay code discrepancies

  • Support supervisors and employees with electronic timekeeping questions and troubleshooting

  • Maintain employee information within the timekeeping system

  • Assist with reporting related to attendance, labor tracking, and workforce data

  • Partner with payroll and HR teams to ensure accurate employee records

  • Provide administrative support to the payroll department as needed

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with system updates and testing

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in payroll support, timekeeping administration, workforce reporting, or related administrative functions preferred

  • Experience with electronic timekeeping systems

  • Union environment experience is a plus

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems and processes

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools

  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
