Senior ServiceNow SAM Developer Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Senior SAM Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of the ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) Pro platform. This is a hands-on technical role responsible for building scalable ServiceNow solutions that improve software license compliance, optimize software spending, and streamline software asset lifecycle management across the enterprise. The ideal candidate has extensive experience developing within the ServiceNow platform, and enjoys partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-wide solutions. Responsibilities
Configure and maintain publisher packs for major software vendors including Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, IBM, VMware, and Salesforce.
Develop custom workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, script includes, and other ServiceNow customizations.
Build and support integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and other integration methods.
Configure and optimize discovery data sources such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Active Directory, Tanium, and ServiceNow Discovery.
Identify opportunities for software optimization, license harvesting, and cost savings.
Support the implementation of governance, controls, and processes to improve software asset management maturity.
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers and administrators on ServiceNow development best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related
5+ years of Enterprise level asset management experience
5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
Experience developing REST and SOAP API integrations.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
