Position: Logistics Manager

The Logistics Manager partners with supply chain leadership to oversee and support the organization’s logistics and transportation operations. This role helps ensure the timely and accurate movement of products and materials while driving efficiency, cost effectiveness, and continuous improvement across the logistics function. The position collaborates closely with internal teams and external vendors and helps develop strategies, processes, and metrics to optimize logistics performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support day-to-day logistics operations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of finished goods.
  • Oversee distribution and transportation activities to support delivery performance, cost control, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and vendors, including negotiating rates and monitoring service levels.
  • Maintain required carrier and transportation documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable transportation regulations for domestic and international shipments and escalate potential concerns.
  • Use data and analytics to forecast demand, track performance, and support decision making.
  • Communicate shipment, cost, and supply updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Assist with departmental budgeting and monitor expenses to support overall financial goals.

  • Effective negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to resolve issues proactively.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or high-volume environments is preferred.
  • Experience with international logistics, analytics tools, or ERP systems is a plus.
Pay for the Logistics Manager is up to $110k/year based on experience.
