As part of the IT support team, you’ll serve as a key point of contact for employees who need technical assistance. You’ll help diagnose issues, resolve everyday technical problems, and ensure users get back to work quickly and smoothly.
Your day-to-day will include:
Serving as the first line of support for IT issues submitted via phone, email, walk-ups, and self-service tools
Gathering details, assessing impact, and prioritizing issues appropriately
Troubleshooting common problems related to Windows devices, applications, email, remote access, mobile devices, and connectivity
Escalating more complex issues to specialized support teams while maintaining ownership of the request
Creating, updating, and closing support tickets while meeting established response and resolution expectations
Documenting solutions and contributing to internal knowledge resources
Identifying repeat issues and flagging trends to leadership
Assisting with basic user account administration, including access management and security tokens
Prior experience in a help desk, service desk, or technical support role (professional or academic)
Comfortable working in a Windows 11 environment
Solid understanding of PC setup, configuration, and basic troubleshooting
Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow experience is a plus, not required)
Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset
Ability to stay organized, manage multiple requests, and follow issues through to resolution
