The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting accurate and timely financial reporting through hands-on ownership of month-end close, reconciliations, and analysis. This role partners closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, ensures compliance with US GAAP, and helps improve accounting processes as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with US GAAP
Perform variance analysis and provide insights to leadership
Ensure accurate balance sheet and income statement reporting
Support audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor requests
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Collaborate with AP, AR, payroll, and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting
Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and month-end close processes
Experience with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Pay for the Senior Accountant is up to $95k/year based on experience.
