Self-Pay Associate – Patient Payment Outreach

Pay: $18–$22/hr (DOE)

Overview

A healthcare organization in OKC is looking for a Self-Pay Associate to support patient payment outreach. This role is highly phone-oriented and requires someone who communicates clearly, stays patient under pressure, and enjoys helping patients understand their payment options.

Key Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to patients regarding outstanding balances

• Explain payment options in a friendly, clear, and supportive manner

• Document call notes accurately and efficiently

• Follow established scripts, guidelines, and compliance procedures

• Work collaboratively with the revenue cycle team

What We’re Looking For

• Strong verbal communication; comfortable with heavy phone work

• Professional, friendly, and empathetic tone

• Detail-oriented and able to follow structured workflows

• Quick learner who adapts well to new systems

• Experience in medical billing, RCM, or customer service is a plus
