About the Role:
We’re looking for an Applications Specialist to serve as the technical expert supporting our sales team and customers. In this role, you’ll provide guidance on product selection, materials, sizing, and industry code compliance. You’ll also deliver training to our sales team, assist in the field with on-site support, and collaborate with engineering to solve technical challenges.
What You’ll Do:
Support the sales and customer service teams with technical guidance on product selection, material recommendations, and sizing for a variety of applications.
Work directly with customers to clarify quotations and provide technical advice.
Generate valve sizing calculations using software tools or manual methods.
Prepare cut sheets, product drawings, bills of materials, and technical data for customers.
Submit Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and collaborate with engineering on product improvements and problem-solving.
Review sales orders and contracts to ensure alignment with specifications and quality standards.
Provide troubleshooting guidance for field application issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 5-7 years of related experience in technical sales support, engineering, or manufacturing.
Experience with one or more valve types: safety relief valves, control valves, or chokes.
Familiarity with SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems.
Willingness to travel to support field operations.
Preferred Skills & Knowledge:
Understanding of industry codes and standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, and ISO.
Knowledge of metallurgy or welding practices is a plus.
