This role is designed for someone who loves teaching, understands how adults learn, and knows how to bring Epic EHR training to life. The Epic Trainer II functions as a senior educator and curriculum architect, shaping the full training experience for users across the organization. You’ll collaborate with application teams, training leadership, and operational partners to build a learning program that drives strong adoption and proficiency in Epic.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’re the go-to expert for creating and maintaining a high-quality Epic training journey. You will:

  • Build and refine training materials so they’re clear, relevant, and user-friendly.

  • Keep training environments aligned with production and other Epic systems.

  • Design learning strategies, map out training needs, and determine the size and scope of learner groups.

  • Create everything from e-learning and updated lesson plans to interactive workshops and hands-on demonstrations.

  • Lead engaging training sessions that not only educate but boost confidence.

  • Evaluate, coach, and credential trainers to ensure consistent quality and Epic proficiency.

  • Educate training teams on new Epic features and system enhancements.

  • Support users directly by answering questions, resolving issues, and offering individual coaching.

  • Cultivate a “No User Left Behind” mindset that encourages strong adoption and positive user experience.

  • Mentor junior trainers and help support a collaborative, team-oriented culture.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 3–5 years of experience in IT, clinical operations, or a related area.

  • Ability to earn Epic certification in the assigned module(s) within 3 months of hire.

  • Strong understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles.

  • Comfortable adjusting teaching styles and materials to match changing needs.

  • Clear, confident communication skills—both written and spoken.

  • Skilled at presenting to groups and handling questions or challenges on the spot.

  • Analytical mindset with strong organizational abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and within team environments.

  • Familiarity with clinical workflows and healthcare terminology.

  • General IT knowledge; interface experience a plus.

  • Ability to travel regionally and drive to assigned sites.
