Fuse3 Solutions is partnered with a manufacturing company that is searching for a Controller to join their team. The Controller would be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations, including managing the accounting team, preparing financial statements, and overseeing budgeting and forecasting.
Responsibilities
Financial operations: Manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Reporting: Prepare and publish monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Budgeting: Oversee the annual budget process and financial forecasting, analyzing and reporting variances.
Internal controls: Develop and implement internal controls and policies to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting and tax filings.
Auditing: Coordinate activities with external auditors and ensure readiness for audits.
Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
Manufacturing-specific duties: For a manufacturing company, this includes analyzing production costs, budgets, and financial performance to ensure profitability and efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CPA preferred.
Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar senior accounting role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, QuickBooks) and financial close software.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Familiarity with manufacturing accounting is a plus.
Salary for the Controller is $165+/year based on experience.
