The Junior FP&A Analyst supports the company’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. This entry-level role works closely with senior analysts and department leaders to provide actionable insights, maintain financial models, and support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn in a fast-paced business environment.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts.
Support the annual budgeting process by gathering data, preparing templates, and consolidating departmental inputs.
Maintain and update financial models used for forecasting and scenario analysis.
Perform variance analysis to compare actual results against budget and forecast, explaining key drivers of performance.
Compile and analyze data to support management presentations and business reviews.
Partner with accounting, operations, and business units to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and data accuracy.
Support ad hoc analysis and special projects as requested by senior FP&A team members or management.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or financial analysis (internship experience accepted).
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling).
Familiarity with financial systems and data visualization tools a plus.
Understanding of basic financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and collaboration across departments.
$60,000 - $80,000 depending on education and experience.
