Position Overview

The Junior FP&A Analyst supports the company’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. This entry-level role works closely with senior analysts and department leaders to provide actionable insights, maintain financial models, and support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn in a fast-paced business environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts.

  • Support the annual budgeting process by gathering data, preparing templates, and consolidating departmental inputs.

  • Maintain and update financial models used for forecasting and scenario analysis.

  • Perform variance analysis to compare actual results against budget and forecast, explaining key drivers of performance.

  • Compile and analyze data to support management presentations and business reviews.

  • Partner with accounting, operations, and business units to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and data accuracy.

  • Support ad hoc analysis and special projects as requested by senior FP&A team members or management.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or financial analysis (internship experience accepted).

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling).

    • Familiarity with financial systems and data visualization tools a plus.

    • Understanding of basic financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Effective communication and collaboration across departments.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

$60,000 - $80,000 depending on education and experience.
