Job Title: IT Support Technician

Schedule: Hybrid | On-call rotation required
Job Summary:
The IT Support Technician provides hands-on technical support for desktop computers, laptops, and related hardware and software. This role focuses on equipment setup, upgrades, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance in line with standard IT procedures. The technician will also assist with system implementations and collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth and efficient end-user support.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices following established standards.
Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution for end-user hardware, software, and connectivity issues; escalate complex issues when necessary.
Document all service activities and resolutions within the ticketing system, maintaining clear communication with end users throughout the process.
Support equipment moves, adds, and changes as needed.
Collaborate with other IT departments and vendors to resolve technical issues.
Assist with new system rollouts and upgrades.
Maintain accurate hardware inventory documentation.
Provide after-hours support as part of an on-call rotation.
Travel between office or off-site locations as required (valid driver’s license and personal vehicle needed).
Decision-Making & Collaboration:
Exercises independent judgment in prioritizing tasks and resolving moderately complex technical issues.
Interacts regularly with internal departments, external partners, and users at all organizational levels in a professional and customer-focused manner.
Required Skills & Experience:
6 months to 1 year of hands-on IT support experience.
Working knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.
Experience providing direct end-user support in a fast-paced environment.
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, especially under pressure.
Education:
Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or
High school diploma with 2+ years of desktop support experience.
Additional Requirements:
Valid driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and acceptable driving record.
