Senior Data Engineer

This is a strategic, high-ownership role focused on building and maintaining trusted data foundations across multiple core business platforms. Responsibilities of the Senior Data Engineer

Own the movement, transformation, and delivery of data across multiple business systems and SaaS platforms.

Design and maintain scalable data models and ELT/ETL pipelines within Snowflake and Azure environments.

Build and optimize on-prem and cloud data integrations, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and performance.

Serve as the primary owner for data pipeline support and troubleshooting in production environments.

Develop and maintain reusable, production-grade data assets that power business reporting and operational applications.

Use GitHub for version control and enforce modern engineering best practices.

Collaborate closely with analysts, domain experts, and engineering teams to align data structures with real business logic.

Document data processes, core logic, and system interactions to support long-term clarity and auditability.
Qualifications of the Senior Data Engineer

Oil & Gas industry experience is required — strong understanding of operational or financial data.

Expert-level SQL skills — advanced joins, CTEs, window functions, and performance tuning.

Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Azure as core data platforms.

Proven background designing and maintaining ELT/ETL workflows (dbt, Matillion, Azure Data Factory, etc.).

Experience working across multiple disparate systems, pulling, shaping, and loading data.

Strong experience using GitHub or similar VCS tools for source control and production workflows.

Ability to support, maintain, and stabilize live data environments and pipelines.

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required for highly experienced candidates.
Salary Range of Senior Data Engineer: $150,000 / depending on experience
