Chief Operating Officer / Operations Manager

Location: North Oklahoma City, OK
Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Overview:
We’re looking for a driven, hands-on leader with deep insurance agency experience to help elevate operations, empower the team, and shape the next phase of growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on taking ownership, improving systems, and leading people — someone who can balance strategy with rolling up their sleeves when needed.

As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll partner closely with ownership to run the business day-to-day, drive operational efficiency, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and fun.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead agency operations, ensuring smooth coordination across sales, service, and support functions

• Oversee HR functions including hiring, performance management, employee development, and culture initiatives

• Conduct and lead weekly producer meetings and provide coaching for producers and service staff

• Manage financial and operational performance, helping identify opportunities to increase profitability

• Evaluate and optimize the agency’s technology stack, CRM, and IT infrastructure

• Drive process improvements across workflows, systems, and communication channels

• Represent the agency at networking and community events

• Act as a trusted advisor to ownership on key business decisions and strategy

Ideal Candidate:

• 5+ years of experience in insurance agency management or operations leadership

• Strong understanding of both sales and service within an independent agency environment

• Confident decision-maker with proven leadership and communication skills

• Tech-savvy and eager to modernize systems (experience with HubSpot or CRM transitions is a plus)

• Financially minded — able to balance budgets, analyze performance, and drive ROI

• Authentic, approachable, and fun — a cultural leader who motivates and connects with others
