Payroll & Benefits Specialist (Temporary Assignment)
Oklahoma City, OK | $20–25 / HR (Depending on Experience)

About the Role:
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Specialist for a temporary assignment. This position will support the HR and accounting teams by processing payroll accurately and assisting with benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with payroll systems, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify timesheets, hours worked, and pay adjustments

  • Maintain employee payroll records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations

  • Assist employees with payroll or benefits-related inquiries

  • Support benefits administration, including new hire enrollments, status changes, and terminations

  • Reconcile benefit deductions and coordinate with vendors to ensure accuracy

  • Assist with year-end reporting, including W-2 preparation and audit requests

  • Collaborate with HR and Accounting to ensure seamless payroll and benefits processes

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Payroll and Benefits Administration required

  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and benefits procedures

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other HR systems preferred
