Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities of the Senior Systems Engineer:

• Design, implement, and support enterprise servers, workstations, and virtualization environments.

• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to ensure infrastructure aligns with business needs.

• Maintain system performance, including tuning, upgrades, and troubleshooting complex issues.

• Automate processes and use version control (Git/GitHub) to support infrastructure management.

• Support Windows and Linux systems, including AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, and Azure.

• Document systems, procedures, and protocols for cross-departmental use.

• Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve reliability, scalability, and security.

Qualifications of the Senior Systems Engineer:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or 10+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience.

• 5+ years supporting large-scale servers, virtualization, and enterprise workstations.

• Expertise with VMware vSphere/VCF, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, storage, backup/recovery, and cloud infrastructure.

• Functional knowledge of network design, virtual desktops (Citrix/VMware), and infrastructure automation/scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, YAML).

• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Salary Range of Senior Systems Engineer: $90,000 – $130,000 depending on experience
