Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with department heads.

• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide management with actionable insights.

• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax and reporting requirements.

• Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.

• Implement process improvements and technology enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred.

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.

• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems.

• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial analysis and modeling.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach.
