Systems Engineer

Responsibilities of the Systems Engineer:
Support the design, deployment, and administration of enterprise IT infrastructure including Microsoft Cloud Services, Windows Server, virtualization, and networking technologies.
Assist with managing hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS), including migrations, automation, and ongoing performance improvements.
Serve as an escalation point for complex system, network, and application issues.
Ensure security, compliance, and reliability of enterprise systems through monitoring, documentation, and proactive problem-solving.
Collaborate with IT leadership and business units to deliver technology projects that improve performance and efficiency.
Contribute to knowledge sharing, process improvements, and mentoring of junior team members.
Qualifications of the Systems Engineer:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365.
Working knowledge of Azure and/or hybrid cloud environments; AWS experience a plus.
Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere.
Solid understanding of networking and security (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, PKI).
Proficiency with PowerShell scripting; experience with automation tools such as Terraform or Python a plus.
Familiarity with SQL Server or Postgres database administration.
Industry certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, or security-related credentials are preferred.
Salary Range of Systems Engineer: $80,000 – $120,000 depending on experience
