Job Title: Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections Specialist

Fuse3 Solutions is partnered with an established manufacturing company that is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections Specialist to support the financial operations of their company. This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, monitoring credit risk, ensuring timely collection of receivables, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will thrive in a smaller, hands-on environment, balancing day-to-day processing with proactive communication to customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and post customer invoices.
• Record customer payments and reconcile AR accounts.
• Research and resolve discrepancies on customer accounts.
• Review and evaluate new and existing customer credit applications.
• Establish credit limits and monitor customer credit exposure.
• Recommend holds or changes to credit terms as needed.
• Contact customers to ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Negotiate payment plans when necessary while maintaining positive relationships.
• Escalate delinquent accounts for further action when required.
• Prepare aging reports and collection status updates for management.
• Assist with month-end close by reconciling AR balances and preparing journal entries.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and project managers to resolve billing or payment issues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit, or Collections (manufacturing or construction industry experience preferred).
• Strong understanding of AR processes, credit evaluation, and collections best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ERP or accounting system experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a smaller company setting.
