Position: Payroll Specialist
Location: Oklahoma City, OK

A growing company is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join their team. This role is responsible for accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll processing, benefits auditing, and compliance administration. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone with payroll or HR experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys ensuring accuracy across multiple payroll functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll using payroll and accounting systems

  • Review timecards, adjustments, and new hire/termination data

  • Calculate military leave pay when applicable

  • Prepare payroll funding and reconciliation reports

  • Ensure accurate onboarding and offboarding payroll setup

  • Enter bonuses, commissions, and other compensation changes

  • Audit benefit enrollments and payroll deductions

  • Maintain updates to 401(k), PTO, salary, and employee transfers

  • Process garnishments and expense reimbursements

  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws and wage requirements

Requirements:

  • FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) Required
  • Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Technical Certification in Business Administration, OR 1–3 years of payroll or HR experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office applications

  • Experience with payroll/HR systems preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Knowledge of federal/state payroll regulations

Compensation:
$50–$55k, based on experience
