Controller - El Dorado, AR

Key Responsibilities of Controller:

• Lead all financial activities of the plant including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and month-end close.

• Manage cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard cost updates.

• Monitor and report plant performance metrics including material, labor, and overhead variances.

• Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

• Partner with plant management to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.

• Oversee internal controls and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

• Assist with capital expenditure tracking and ROI analysis.

• Support annual audits and coordinate with external and internal auditors.

• Supervise and develop the plant accounting team.

• Serve as a financial advisor to plant leadership, providing insight and guidance for operational decisions.

Qualifications of Controller:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• CPA or CMA preferred.

• 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory control, and financial reporting.

• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.

• Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments is a plus.

Compensation of Controller:
