Position: Revenue Accountant

Duties/Responsibilities:

All duties associated with the recording of operated revenue, journal entry preparation, variance analysis, and the proper and timely payment of royalties.
All duties associated with the recording of non-operated revenue.
Help prepare monthly account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items on a timely basis.
Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to revenue accounting.
Assist with special projects, as necessary.
Respond to owner inquiries as they arise.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field of study.
2+ years of experience as a revenue accountant within the oil and gas industry, or other applicable accounting experience
Effective verbal and written communication skills are required. Experience in technical document writing preferred.
The candidate will need excellent planning, organizational, training, teamwork, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and critical thinking to detect problems and recommend solutions.
Must be able to work effectively with people at all levels inside and outside the company
Proficient in Excel. Experience with complex formulas, pivot tables, vlookups, index match.
Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Salary for this position ranges from $75k-$85k/year based on experience.
