Personal Banking Associate / Universal Banker

Position Summary

We are seeking a Personal Banking Associate (Universal Banker / Teller / Customer Service Representative) to join our team at a high-volume financial institution. This role combines teller responsibilities, new account opening, and personal banking sales support. The right candidate will deliver outstanding customer service, process transactions accurately, and help clients achieve their financial goals through relationship-building and product recommendations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with retail banking, teller, or sales experience who is motivated by performance goals and enjoys working in a customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide a friendly, professional customer experience at the teller line and in personal banking services.
Assist clients with deposits, withdrawals, payments, and loan applications.
Open and maintain checking, savings, credit, and loan accounts; explain product options clearly.
Balance and maintain cash drawers with accuracy; follow bank policies and compliance guidelines.
Support branch growth by cross-selling financial products (credit cards, loans, CDs, online banking, etc.).
Build relationships through referrals, community involvement, and networking.
Resolve customer issues with professionalism and timely follow-up.
Collaborate with team members to achieve branch sales and service goals.

Required Qualifications

1+ year of sales experience in banking, retail, hospitality, or other goal-driven environments.
Cash handling experience (minimum 6 months) in teller, retail, or point-of-sale roles.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first approach.
Ability to meet and exceed sales and service targets.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
High attention to detail, ethical standards, and teamwork.
Willingness to obtain a Notary Public certification (sponsored by the bank).

Preferred Qualifications

Prior bank teller, universal banker, or financial services experience.
Familiarity with consumer banking products and account types.
Bilingual (Spanish-English) strongly preferred.
