Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

• Lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

• Prepare and review financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Maintain and enforce proper internal controls and accounting policies in compliance with GAAP.

• Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.

• Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.

• Assist in budget preparation and forecasting.

• Support system and process improvements for increased efficiency and accuracy.

• Mentor and develop accounting staff, setting objectives and conducting performance evaluations.

Qualifications:

• A mix of public and industry or industry experience preferred. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 

• CPA highly preferred.

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
