Accounting Manager (Accounts Receivable Focus)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee our Accounts Receivable function. This role will be responsible for managing invoicing operations, supervising a small team, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting month-end close and cash management activities. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of AR processes within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full invoicing process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company standards
• Review and approve team-generated invoices; provide guidance and training to improve efficiency and quality
• Manage and mentor a team of 3+ AR professionals, including performance management and development
• Perform and review account reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly
• Monitor and reconcile daily bank activity, including cash postings and transactions
• Lead and support month-end close activities related to AR, including journal entries and reporting
• Prepare and analyze cash reporting to support leadership decision-making
• Generate and review AR aging reports; proactively address past-due accounts and trends
• Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to resolve billing or payment issues
• Participate in and lead special projects, process improvements, and system enhancements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing a team
• Strong understanding of invoicing, cash applications, and AR processes
• Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

The salary range for the Accounting Manager is $80k-$100k/year and may goes up based on experience.
